Margherita Pizza

Fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and basil over olive oil and hand-tossed dough.

Ingredients:
  • 10–14 oz Pro Dough Company dough (traditional hand-tossed style)

  • 1/3 cup crushed San Marzano tomatoes or light tomato sauce

  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt, to taste


Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 500°F. Place a pizza stone inside, if using.

  2. Let dough reach room temperature, then stretch to a 12” round.

  3. Lightly spread tomato sauce over the dough.

  4. Add sliced fresh mozzarella evenly across the surface.

  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the crust is crisp and cheese has melted.

  6. Immediately top with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil.

  7. Sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
