Apple Cinnamon Dessert Calzones

Warm, handheld dough pockets filled with spiced apples and finished with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Pro Dough Company dough ball (12–14 oz)

  • 1 apple, peeled and diced

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • Optional: powdered sugar icing or caramel drizzle


Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a small skillet, cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice for 5–7 minutes until softened. Let cool slightly.

  3. Divide dough in half and roll each piece into a 6–8” circle.

  4. Spoon the apple filling onto one half of each circle, fold over, and seal the edges tightly.

  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden.

  6. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with icing or caramel before serving.
